Wednesday, an unidentified patriot grabbed into a smoldering heap an American flag from burning at the hands of pro-Hamas agitators.

The man who wanted to remain unknown managed to rescue a bit of Old Glory. He told a local reporter covering the event that he is an attorney employed close to Union Station in Washington, D.C., where anti-Israel protests took place.

In a video Richie McGinniss captured and posted on X, the man stoop down into the flames and grabs a piece of the flaming flag with bare hands.

Screaming “Get him!” and pounding drums, an enraged crowd charges after the unidentified guy bearing the burning flag.

One sees a pro-Hamas agitator stumbling over a skateboard in the chase. Running out of Columbus Circle, the unnamed patriot barely makes it past the throng.

McGinniss reveals in a later video upload that the unidentified man remarked, “I grabbed what I could out of the fire and ran.”

“I’m embarrassed I didn’t stop and go back and get the rest of it,” the man told McGinniss.

“Thank you, sir, whoever you are – that was brave and honorable behavior on display,” a user on X remarked.

Along with an Israeli flag, agitators burnt an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Wednesday’s arrest of at least 23 pro-Hamas agitators from the disorderly rallies at Union Station Among the vandalism was “F— ISREAL” scrawled on brick pavement with Israel misspelled.

As of Wednesday night, the man’s video rescuing the flag attracted over 1.1M views on X.
